Diary 391: Make things happen (My email to Andrew S)
My visit to Kuching on 12-14 Sept 2011.
Big THANK to you:
Really appreciate what you are doing for those you love and care in Kuching. I sense the general lack of health awareness among the residents in Kuching.
Your Name:
Looking at your name in Chinese, your dad has given you a great name: doing good things. He is a wise man.
Raising health awareness:
This has become an important part of my life with the strong commitment that my knowledge & experience can help those who wish to main and reclaim good health besides saving the environment. There is no point keeping the knowledge and experience. Their values have to be shared. It is a life long learning process for me too. We just learn from each other.
Walk My Words:
Since I am committed to this special life path of helping others to lead a happier and healthier life, it is only natural that I need to walk my words. When expenses are to be incurred, let them be.
Touching others' hearts:
From the 2 talks and discussions with those around you, the trip was worthy. I could feel that when we are sincere, we touch the hearts of others. At least 2 elders were happy to meet me and they asked me when I would be back again. That touched my heart too!
Together making things happen:
My salute to you for supporting this humble effort of mine. Most businessmen do not have such Corporate Social Responsibility as shown by you. If you feel that we can work together in the future for the benefits of others in Kuching, I will play my part where talks can be delivered in English, Mandarin & BM.
Your role:
(a) Help organise talks when circumstances permit.
(b) Contribution to publication fund. By the way, I have only 20 copies of Mandarin version of the health book as almost all 1,000 copies have been given away, including school libraries and teachers. If you wish assist in the next printing, you are most welcome.
Your sons:
Both your sons have potentials to do big things in life. We had interesting discussions.
Your brother:
Encourage him to make further adjustment to healthy diet and healthy living. When his heart is touched, he will change further. That's exactly what I shared with Shenton S.
Copies of health books:
If you need more copies, let me know and I will post them to you.

Diary 390: La-Jin & Pai-Da
This is indeed a wonderful method of self-healing.
When the Master Xiao Hong-chi visited KL on 8 June 2011, I went to listen and learn the techniques during his free public lecture-cum-demonstration..
Subsequently, I share them with my colleagues and others in my life (including Orang Asli villagers in the rural areas).
A young female colleague had knee injury 3 years ago and subsequently experienced knee pain when it rains or when climbing staircase.
Her knee pain disappeared after 1 week of Paida.
My village elder had ‘frozen shoulder’ and after La-Jin for 30 minutes while lying in bed, he claimed that the problem was 70% gone the next day.
Interesting.
La-Jin and Pai-Da now become part of my health talk.
The people in Kuching like it.
The Orang Asli like it.
What I do now is to add the text (with a photo on the Master's book cover) to the fourth edition of my health book, Eating for Good Health, published in Sept 2011. I do this because the Master is willing to share the techniques freely to any one and my role is assisting him realising his dream.
I went to see and use a La-Jin bench in a friend’s house.
In the meantime, I am trying to get my colleague to make a La-Jin bench.
La-Jin bench is expected to help those prefer self-healing than medication.

Diary 388: Antibiotics
If you have a fever, visit the local clinic, you may be given antibiotics.
Antibiotics are antimicrobial agents.
Antibiotics (such as macrolides, peicillin and cephalosporins) are a group of chemicals used to treat infections caused by bacteria.
How do antibiotics function?
In two ways.
First, kill bacteria.
Second, inhibit the growth of bacteria.
Both allow the body’s natural defences to overcome the bacteria.
Antibioics can be given orally, intravenously for more serious infections, or topically, as in skin ointments and creams, or eye drops.
Beware, antibiotics cannot fight infections caused by viruses.
Beware, unwanted side effects on the use of antibiotics include fever, nausea, rash, or diarrhoea may also occur.
So, use antibiotics wisely.
Use antibiotics only when necessary.
