Diary 2012.8: Alzheimer’s disease
Alzheimer’s disease is a neurological brain disorder named after a German physician, Alois Alzheimer, who first described it in 1906.
This disease is a condition that affects the function of the brain.
People with Alzheimer’s disease often have problems remembering things, making decisions and understanding languages.
Memory loss is one of the earliest symptoms, along with a gradual decline of other intellectual and thinking abilities
The diseases results in a change in their behaviour.
The condition is common among those who are above 60 years old.
