I define vegetarian whole food as a nourishing substance that is eaten or otherwise taken into the body to sustain life, provide energy and promote growth.
Be it by choice or otherwise, the process of becoming a vegetarian is rather challenging. When socializing, we could be a little lost with the forceful offer by friends, a sumptuous piece of half-done steak oozing blood red liquid, or at times being discouraged by friends or family members that vegetarian food is bland and does not in anyway arouse the sense of the taste buds at all. In this book, Dr Lim proved the critics wrong. Dr Lim convinces with his own experience that vegetarian food is most healthy and brings about a deep sense of wealth, happiness and freedom.
As we are more and more informed of the benefits of vegetarianism to achieve mental, spiritual and physical health, I hope we all grow our vision towards nurturing a cleaner earth by promoting vegetarianism, organic farming, resource preservation, reduction and reuse.
I wish to congratulate Dr Lim for sharing his good work.
