Let’s learn something about gout.
Gout is a form of arthritis.
It is caused by a buildup of uric acid in the blood.
When uric acid crystallizes in the joints, it causes inflammation and pain.
Gout is becoming more common partly because of obesity epidemic.
What trigger attacks of gout? Consuming a lot of meat, seafood, sugar, alcohol (especially beer).
Frutose, the main sweetener in many sugar beverages, also increases uric acid levels in the blood.
What if one has gout?
Eat more fruit, vegetables and low-fat products.
Consume less meat, seafood, sugar, alcohol (especially beer).
