Most people think that the digestive system refers to the stomach.
It is more than that.
The digestive system includes a number of organs: stomach, digestive tract (mouth, esophagus, small and large intestine, rectum and anus), and supporting organs such as the liver and pancreas.
To maintain good health it is necessary for us to make sure that our digestive system is able to get rid of the waste products left behind after nutrients from the food eaten have been absorbed into the body.
It simply means regular bowel movements.
A healthy person normally has 1 to 3 bowel movements a day.
If you do have at least 1 bowel movement each day, it means your digestive system is not functioning healthily.
Just think of the food taken and you are likely to find the answer.
